AMI Spotlight: Radiologic Technologists, Cape May Court House

The Radiologic Technologists from the Cape May Court House office are in the AMI Spotlight this week. Cape May Court House has 12 technologists, who are certified in specific modalities including X-ray, Ultrasound, CT, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, and Mammography.  The technologists strive to provide patients with the best imaging experience possible.

Meet the technologists from the Cape May Court House office.

If you have had an x-ray in our Cape May Court House office, you may have seen Mary and Gerri (l to r).  Their smiling faces help keep patients at ease during their exam.

Neal is an ultrasonographer. He performs many different types of ultrasounds ranging from obstetric to arterial imaging. To ensure that patients are comfortable, Neal explains what kind of study is performed and what it involves.
When asked why he enjoys working for Atlantic Medical Imaging, Neal responded, "AMI is great  for my career with the possibility of growth. Also, I have the ability to learn new procedures and technology as well as consult with other top medical professionals."

Carla and Monica (l to r) are two mammography technologists at the Cape May Court House office and Kate is a technical aide. Carla and Monica are here to make sure your exam is as quick and comfortable as possible. They can also answer any questions you may have about your mammogram.
As a technical aide, Kate assists the technologists by greeting patients and escorting them to the exam area. A technical aide is an essential part of our imaging team, ensuring that each patient is prepared and ready for the technologist to perform the exam.

Steve and Jamie are MRI technologists at the Cape May Court House office. Safety is the first priority for each patient. Before positioning a patient in the MRI machine, the MRI technologists will carefully screen each patient, reviewing medical history and making sure they do not have any metal (on them or in their body). Jamie understands how important it is for the patient to feel comfortable, and sees herself as their cheerleader, encouraging them throughout the scan.

AMI Spotlight: Office Administrator, Cape May Court House

The AMI Spotlight is on Cathy Astley, Office Administrator of the Cape May Court House Office.
Cathy has been with Atlantic Medical Imaging for 16 years. She is a graduate of  Ohio State School of Radiology in Columbus Ohio. When she graduated in 1967, CT, mammography, and MRI were not taught, as the technology was still being developed. An exciting part of Cathy's career has been witnessing the changes in technology, which inspired her to acquire additional certifications in both CT and mammography.

Cathy stated, "The best part about my job is the people. Listening to them and learning from them. Each day brings a new experience! The staff at the Cape May Court House office takes pride in giving our patients great care with our expertise."

All of Atlantic Medical Imaging’s Office Administrators have completed and maintained certification from a formal accredited Radiologic Technology program and meet the requirements for the registry by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT).  The role of the Office Administrator is very important, as they ensure each office is running properly, efficiently, and safely. From managing the overall office operations, to providing quality customer service to our patients, the Office Administrator is a vital position throughout the company.

AMI Spotlight: Medical Director, AMI Cape May Court House

  Eric H. Tiger, M.D.

If you have ever visited our Cape May Court House office, you may have seen Dr. Eric Tiger walking through the waiting room greeting our patients.  Dr. Tiger is a board certified, fellowship trained radiologist and is the Medical Director of the Cape May Court House Office. He graduated from Temple University School of Medicine in 1987 and completed his residency in radiology at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia.  He served as chief resident from 1988 through 1992.

Dr. Tiger began working at Atlantic Medical Imaging in 1992 and became the Medical Director of the Cape May Court House office when it opened in 1998. He specializes in neuroradiology, cardiac MRI, and women's imaging.

When asked why he enjoys working at Atlantic Medical Imaging, Dr. Tiger replied, "I have greatly enjoyed being Medical Director of our Cape May Court House office since we opened many years ago. Deciding to work at AMI and moving down to the shore was not a difficult decision. My mother's family was from Atlantic City and they had owned a business on the boardwalk."

Dr. Tiger enjoys staying healthy by working out and hiking with his wife, Robyn, and two children, Benjamin and Elana.

Office Administrator, Cathy Astley, Radiology Assistant Diana Daly and Dr. Tiger work together each day to ensure the best possible care for each of our patients.
