My AMI Mammo Campaign

Having a mammogram with Atlantic Medical Imaging?  To help raise awareness on the importance of breast health, we are launching the ‪#‎myamimammo‬ campaign! Screening mammograms save lives and we want to know what drives you to get your mammogram.

Help us spread the word on the importance of a yearly mammogram. After your exam snap a selfie, in front of our campaign banner, stating who you dedicate your mammogram to. Then upload it to instagram, facebook, or twitter with the hashtag #myamimammo and tag @amiradiology. Your selfie could inspire others to have a mammogram!

AMI Spotlight: Toms River Front Desk Staff

The AMI Spotlight is on the front desk staff at the Toms River office. With only 7 employees, the front desk staff works closely with the Technologists and Radiologist in this office, creating a sense of family among the employees. They believe this team effort makes the patients experience a positive one.

Melanie (left) strives to ease any nerves patients may have when they come into the office.  Having a patient thank her for her assistance is the most rewarding aspect of her job. When she is not at work, Melanie spends time with her family, including her three children. They enjoy the beach and taking trips to Six Flags in the summer.

Holly (right) has been working as a medical receptionist for over ten years and believes each patient deserves to leave with a smile on their face. She understands the stress that can come with having an MRI and wants to make the process as comfortable as possible. In her free time Holly and her partner enjoy going to concerts and spending time with their nieces and nephews. They are also very busy raising their new puppy Khloe!

Sasha is the lead receptionist at the Toms River office and has been working in the radiology field for 15 years. As the lead receptionist, Sasha overseas the day to day functions of the front desk and assists her fellow staff members in creating the best possible experience for each patient. She spends her time outside of work with her family and traveling. Sasha loves watching her 1 year old daughter Savannah grow and play with her two dogs, Chewy & Brooklyn.

Next time you have an appointment in Toms River, say hello to Melanie, Holly and Sasha!

AMI Spotlight:Meet Dr. Allan Cummings

 Dr. Allan Cummings, M.D.

The AMI Spotlight is on Dr. Allan Cummings of the Toms River and Northfield offices. Dr. Cummings, a board certified radiologist, received his medical degree from Jefferson Medical Center in Philadelphia, PA and completed his residency in diagnostic radiology at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch, New Jersey.

Being able to play a central role in helping to figure out what is wrong with the most difficult patient cases is what Dr. Cummings finds most rewarding about being a radiologist.

Specializing in MRI studies and auto/workers compensation injuries, his priority is to ensure each patient is properly diagnosed and receives proper treatment.

In his free time, Dr. Cummings enjoys traveling and horse races. When he's not traveling he enjoys dining out and dancing.

AMI Spotlight: Toms River Office

The AMI Spotlight is focused on our Toms River office located at 864 Route 37 West, just off the Garden State Parkway (Exit 82A). This office became part of Atlantic Medical Imaging in August 2014.

At this location, patients have access to an Upright Multi-Positional MRI.  With this unique, three dimensional positioning system, we are able to scan patients sitting, bending, or standing. You simply walk in, sit down, and watch TV during your scan. This open comfort is especially good for people who are claustrophobic.
